Management team

Guy Wolfensberger, 48: after training in Economics and Management (St. Gallen University, Switzerland), I started my professional life as a consultant in organizational and information systems for customers throughout Europe. I followed the development of solar powered boats from afar, while at the same time starting a career with large international groups (within the consulting and luxury industry). I held positions such as regional CFO and managing director of a distribution subsidiary in South Africa. This international business and management experience serves me well today in the expansion of sales of Grove Boats through a distribution network, as well as in the running of the company.
Over the years, I kept a keen interest in the environmental and especially the "clean mobility" issues - it is with this spirit that I have chaired the "Vaud chapter" of the second largest Car-sharing organization worldwide (Mobility in Switzerland). Many trips on the waterways of our planet and a home 100 meters from the shores of Lake Geneva encourage me to think that a "clean navigation" is possible and desirable on the water too.

Andreas Kindlimann, 41: I grew up on the shores of Lake Zurich, where boats have fascinated me since childhood. After studying naval architecture in England, I returned to Switzerland in 2000 to work in shipyards as well as in boat design offices in my country and abroad, before focusing on the field of electro-solar boats in 2005 in Switzerland.
I am now in charge of the naval architecture for our Grove Boats crafts as well as for other external projects. I am also responsible for contacts with our German speaking clients.
The preservation of the beautiful recreation areas bordering lakes and seas is close to my heart, and I am confident we can make sustainable use of it, may it be for leisure purposes or for professional passengers transportation.

Yvan Leuppi, 37: I am married and have 3 children. After completing my training as an electrical engineer HES, I was employed for a few years in the engineering school where I studied. One of the main projects I worked on was an electric propulsion system for a ship powered by a fuel cell. That is how I discovered the exciting world of electric boats, and I got to know the company that later became my second employer. Within this new job, I participated among other tasks in the conception and construction of the first boat that crossed the Atlantic using solar power (project "Sun21" in 2007). In 2010, my friend Andreas and I, soon joined by Guy, decided to continue the adventure of solar powered boats within a new structure, in which I am in charge of the electrical engineering.
